This week was a week of firsts... This was my first time shooting at the Oquirrh Temple, as well as my first time shooting completely on the Canon 7D for a wedding and my first official same day edit off the 7D.

One of the latest trends in wedding, event and short film production is the use of HDSLR cameras (like the Canon 7D, 5D, T2I, Etc).  The cameras have large sensors and allow the use of different lenses.  These features combine to produce fantastic, film like images and allow a videographer much more visual control.

But nothing in this world is free...  These cameras have steep learning curves and are not without limits.  But it's in the limitations where I find the real beauty of these cameras because they force a film maker to learn the fundamentals of the trade.  It makes us all become better videographers.

Christina Gets Married. Utah Wedding Videography

Last August, my little cousin (ok... so not so little anymore) Christina was married.  The wedding day came together perfectly - amazing weather, beautiful bride, and a relatively relaxed mom of the bride... who could ask for better?

Getting hired by family or close friends can be a little tricky.  You don't get much chance to relax and enjoy the actual event and there's an indescribable pressure that comes from wanting to exceed the expectations they have for me and my product. 

On the flip side - filming family is still a lot of fun.  The atmosphere is relaxed, the candid shots are easier to find, and you're never for a lack of assistants.  AND when everything is all said and done, having a happy a client is all the more sweet because, well, they're family.

So here ya go Christina - I hope you enjoy it.

High Definition Video Gallery

We've been hard at work getting our previous wedding demos re-rendered and uploaded in stunning HD resolution. 

We've been filming all our events in HD for the last 3 years  but it's only been recently that we've been able to take full advantage of the format. With HDTVs and Blu-ray players becoming more and more common and affordable, we're now able to deliver your wedding in high definition.

A New Year, A New Site, A New Blog!!

Hey Friends - It's been an exciting week.  We got the new website up and running and now the new Blog.  Over the coming days and weeks we will be posting new videos, specials on services, plus some tips and tricks about video production.
